Leak: “Random Access Memories” by Daft Punk [Full Stream]

If you are like us you have been waiting for ‘Random Access Memories’ to come out for a while now. Well today is the day you will hear it. After the official release party today, Daft Punk released a video on their Facebook page of them unveiling a RAM vinyl disk.

Many people are saying this is the most anticipated album of the year, and I think that is definitely the truth. iTunes has confirmed that they will be letting people stream the new album today, only for a limited amount of time. You do not have had to buy the album in advance in order to stream it, anyone can listen. Yeah, you heard me. Today is the day you will finally here Daft Punk’s new album in its entirety. Album: “The Great Gatsby” by Various Artists

Finally got myself to the movies today to see The Great Gatsby. I hope most of you know about all the buzz about the soundtrack and all the random artists that were featured on it. While the movie contained a lot of quality songs that worked well with the scenes, I thought the music sort of degraded the time period in the which the movie was placed in. Even though Jay-Z helped produce the movie, I don’t think his music should’ve been played so much throughout the film. At one point there was a car with a bunch of black people drinking in it and they were listening to “Izzo (H.O.V.A.)”. Not really characteristic of 1922. However, at the same time it would be kind of cool if all this music was played in that time period and it’s interesting to see how music today works with the same elements of a time period like 1922. Well.. at least at a rager at Gatsby’s house. All in all, Leo made the movie and it was pretty good. See it in 3D and listen to the music below. Get the rest of the soundtrack here.
