EP: “Eagle Soul,” by AWE

awe-eagle-soul-ep

AWE is an up and coming trap/dubstep artist who recently released thie great EP, “Eagle Soul E.P.” This five song EP is not your average dubstep/trap EP. AWE illustrates how to integrate the varying sounds of dubstep, and the paces of trap into melodic and beautiful music. The EP is out on Beatport now. Here is my favorite song from the EP, Eagle Soul.

“Switch Up” by Big Sean & Common

Couple days ago KiD CuDi officially announced that he was leaving the infamous G.O.O.D. Music group. This was a huge shock to a lot of fans and maybe got us worried. I think after this track it’s safe to say that G.O.O.D. Music is still alive. With fellow teammate Common, he brings us another hit off his Hall Of Fame album coming out some time soon. #IThinkItsTimeToKillIt

“Hold On” by Nervo

“Hold On”, which is co-produced by R3hab, takes a different course than their usual tracks, this track focuses on intimate vocals and a big breakdown. This song has a similar sound to their collaboration with Nicky Romero called “Like Home” and it seems Nervo has finally found a sound that they like. Here’s what they had to say about the song

“When you’re in the studio, you really experiment with your voice,” explains Mim. “For us, tone is a really big thing, so we do work hard when we cut vocals.” Liv adds that, while working on “Hold On” last October, she and Mim were inspired by “indie vocals” like those of Imogen Heap and Portishead. “Because we don’t have big diva voices—which we would love. But, let’s face it, we don’t. We work with what we’ve got.”

 Check it out…
