In a stark juxtaposition from their punk-inspired Sweatbox Tour last year, Krewella has emerged from underground dive bars, back to the main stage.
Due to an unexpected change in venue, fans were treated to a DJ set which put a spotlight on Krewella’s versatility as live performers.
Featuring tracks from their 2013 album, Get Wet, Krewella’s set carried a heavy nostalgic undertone, filled with intense arrangements such as Live for the Night and Ring of Fire. Having made a lasting impact within the mainstream arena, it was refreshing to see the duo implement a pristine blend of both hardstyle and dubstep throughout their performance as a salute to longstanding members of the Krew.
Moving forward, the Chicago-based duo looked to their recent catalogue to close out the show, performing hit singles th2c, and their latest thematic offering, dead af. The sheer tenacity that Yasmine and Jahan have shown throughout their careers has attributed to their exponential growth as a creative force, which proved to be stronger than ever during their performance inside UNIUN Nightclub.
Wishing Krewella all the best on the remaining dates of their tour!
