Review: Afrojack, Diplo, and Rusko @ Pier 94, NYC

A little late on this review, but if you were there or are thinking about going to an Afrojack, Diplo, or Rusko show any time soon, here are my thoughts. Of course, I was fortunate enough to see them all at once, and thanks to RPM and Pacha, we got a pretty epic show. Just so you have a little background of the show, here’s what originally happened: Earlier this fall, Afrojack announced that he would be performing in NYC for New Years. For obvious reasons, Pacha and RPM picked up the show and in a matter of months, the show had sold out. To appease the fans, a new show was added but in my opinion, with a much better lineup. Diplo and eventually, Rusko would be added onto the bill.

With the year coming to end, Afrojack has decided to bless us with what I think is his best remix possibly of the year. The lyrics by Keane are beautiful as always and Afrojack is able to infuse his sound with Keane’s to create a truly beautiful rework of this song. Check it out.

The day after the announcement of his second show of new years weekend in NYC DJ Afrojack unleashes his latest remix. This remix is of “Sovereign Light Cafe” by Keane which will be released on December 24th and will most likey be the last released track of 2012 for Afrojack. We can look forward to his Gangnam Style remix that will now be released on January 18th. Also make sure to step up and grab tickets for Afrojack and Diplo on 12/30 at Pier 94.
