After 3 long days in Mariaville, NY and many performances, Camp Bisco 11 is over and it was a blast. I only saw a handful of the artists but I had an amazing experience and it was definitely something I will remember. I’m gonna break it down really simple for you guys and if I can find any of the sets that were recorded I will be sure to post them. Check out my review after the jump.
Firstly, the picture above is not photo shopped. Let me just start this post by saying, I am not going to do a full preview on Camp Bisco, so sorry for all you guys who were looking forward to it. Not only did they not respond to our inquiry for press passes (those bastards!), but I also don’t know shit about most of the artists other than who’d you expect me to know about if you read any of my posts (M Machine, Zeds Dead, Alvin Risk, Skrillex, Porter Robinson, Kill The Noise, Zed, Dillon Francis, etc) (Those are pretty much the only people I am going to see).
However, I do feel like I need to bring this specific artist to your attention. I can’t quite recall how I can upon an Amon Tobin video on YouTube, however I imagine it was late at night while I was just clicking video after video on the side bar of live EDM performances. The picture I posted above is just a preview of Amon Tobin’s visual effects, which are literally the craziest effects that I have ever seen, they blow everything out of the water in terms of live shows.
Let me say that I am in no way condoning the use of drugs (my stance is neutral) but, if you were going to find your friend Molly at some point this Friday for Bisco, I would suggest 10:15-11:45pm while you are watching this guy and then 3lau when you have had enough of being mind f**ked by Amon Tobin’s effects and want to get back to raging.
