Big Gigantic and Cherub is a match made in heaven. My mind would be blown if they had a collaboration album, but before anything like that, some single track collaborations will do. Cherub has been growing in popularity with their catchy lyrics and funky style, and Big Gigantic simply keeps producing great music as time passes. Enjoy the track.
I mean, you can obviously see who they didn’t get to play at this venue but wow. This IS an all star line-up. Everyone on the list is a big name and I would feel terrible missing any of them perform. If you haven’t planned your festival season yet then maybe this just moved to the top of your list. Big names are in the picture above but the full list is after the jump and on the website with the festival video. Info below – so are we going? Tickets on sale NOW!

After recently ending their successful fall tour, it seems that Big Gigantic is already back to work in the studio. A couple of days ago the Colorado duo released their newest track “Touch The Sky.” This single is different than their signature saxophone sound and has more trap elements than usual. The build in this one is unreal and it’s definitely going to be a huge hit. Their upcoming album The Night is Young is set to release in February 2014, so be sure to keep an eye out for it.
Tomorrow marks the first day of Buku Music and Art Project in New Orleans, LA. Premiered in 2012 by Winter Circle Productions, the Buku Music + Art Project has established itself as the premier progressive music and arts festival in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast region. For those tired of the mega-festival and wanting an intimate setting with close stage views and clear/loud audio, BUKU fills that void. The line up this year is pretty dope, check after the jump for artist previews and the schedule.
In celebration of Amendment 64 passing in Colorado, Big Gigantic has released this track appropriately titled “Colorado Mountain High.” There are so many things that are right about this song. The length of the song is 4:20. The title has the word “High” in it. And, the song is by Big Gigantic.
For those who are curious about the actual amendment itself, here are some few points. Amendment 64 will allow citizens of Colorado to have up to 1 ounce for recreational use. A person may have up to 6 plants in his/her home. The amendment will go in effect on January 1. So, no. For those who think you can just go to Colorado now and smoke up, you cannot do that.
So much goodness right here. Big Gigantic dropped this in anticipation for a huge show that’s taking place in a couple of days in Colorado, BG’s home state. If this song is any indicator, that show is going to be absolute fire (Dillon Francis will also be DJing, for one). Anyway, definitely check out this track, it’s classic Big Gigantic insanity. Enjoy!
Last weekend, I was able to cover the GlowFest event, here at Indiana University. Unlike past events, this concert was probably the closest it’s ever been to campus. The venue was at the tailgate fields, and for those who don’t know where that is, it’s right on the outskirts of campus. As for previous GlowFest events, they’ve held concerts from a wide span of genres. Hip-hop to EDM, there’s nothing really they haven’t done. This time, they were up for a different approach for the Bloomington campus. Mashups. Sure, there were opening hip-hop acts, but most of the fans there were there for the mashups. With Big Gigantic and The White Panda leading the way into the night, you were pretty much guaranteed a ridiculous party.
