God speed to Jay K-S heading to Ultra right now. We all wish we could help him manage the festivities but someone has to stay back and post. For those not down in Miami I suggest you jump on the Live feed of Ultra from their website and basically enjoy the same music but from better views and the “comfort” of your own home. If you don’t feel like doing that then we got tons of new music for you below. From new tunes like SirensCeol to a remix of Jason Derulo‘s “Talk Dirty again, we have pretty much everything. Hope you like and enjoy the weekend as much as you can. Where this live feed at?

ThrowBack Thursday: David Guetta

David_Guetta_One_Love_Tour_México

Probably one of the most discredited DJ’s in the whole world is David Guetta. All of the kids these days attending festivals, yes that’s you, really don’t understand how big of a music icon this man is. Since the 80′s Guetta has been DJing and creating his own music. He became popular by DJing at nightclubs in the 80′s and 90′s and eventually became the manager of Le Palace nightclub in Paris and later founded his own record label named Gum Productions. From there he was set to release his own albums starting with Just A Little More Love Guetta Blaster in the early 2000′s. These albums were not very popular outside of the dance genre but he still continued to release his music packaged in the album Pop Life where he finally started to receive recognition. Since then, it’s all been a easy ride for Guetta and his singles have hit sales of over 15 million worldwide. Not bad for a average DJ in Paris, huh? Without Guetta the EDM genre would not be anywhere near what it is today. So what if he just plays an iPod at his shows; he’s done his work. Below are some of the old school tracks that brought him into fame. I think you’ll find them very recognizable.

After hitting TomorrowWorld last weekend I think I managed to gather a good repertoire of songs for the upcoming weekend. Unfortunately I will not be celebrating the weekend in any way so yall gotta do it for me. The tracks below should definitely help for they are choice. Most of them are huge EDM tracks that are still banging in my head from the weekend but JT still reigns superior and you gotta listen to “Murder” with him and Jay Z; easily one of the best songs of the year. Have a good wknd and do something for the first time… bitch.

Review: TomorrowWorld 2013

TW

Somewhere in the middle-of-nowhere Georgia, about an hour away from downtown Atlanta, there is a 500 acre farm that just experienced a beating. This past weekend, an estimated 150,000 people attended TomorrowWorld; an expansion of Belgium’s TomorrowLand. From Friday to Sunday, eight stages featured over 300 different DJ’s. I myself was very fortunate enough to attend and see what Belgium could bring to America. Obviously, it’s biggest comparison is Ultra Music Festival. Because it was it’s first year here in the states and because of the dates, it did not get as much hype and attendance as Ultra. I think with better scheduling (put it in the middle of the summer instead of during school) and a year or two down the road, it can easily become bigger than Ultra. After the jump I’ll give you a little more of an insider’s scoop on how it went and why you should go next year. Also, I got links for the best sets I heard during the weekend and some pics. Start saving up now people.
