“Lovers On The Sun” by David Guetta ft. Sam Martin

love is on the sun david guetta avicii sam martin ptb

David Guetta is undoubtedly a huge name when it comes to pop-influenced dance music. All controversy aside surrounding Guetta as an artist, at the end of the day, he pushes out good music. This track definitely follows the path of Avicii with many of his tracks that was released through his debut studio album “True.”

And yes, before I get corrected for not mention this, Avicii along with Mike Einziger, Giorgio Tuinfort, & Frederic Riesterer are credited as co-producers. The melody, for what I can tell, is definitely an Avicii influenced melody. This also applies to the synth. This track definitely has huge potential for the radio, and this Old West vibe that the track has is something that sets this track apart from everything else. Interesting move Guetta…Interesting move.

ThrowBack Thursday: David Guetta

Probably one of the most discredited DJ’s in the whole world is David Guetta. All of the kids these days attending festivals, yes that’s you, really don’t understand how big of a music icon this man is. Since the 80′s Guetta has been DJing and creating his own music. He became popular by DJing at nightclubs in the 80′s and 90′s and eventually became the manager of Le Palace nightclub in Paris and later founded his own record label named Gum Productions. From there he was set to release his own albums starting with Just A Little More Love Guetta Blaster in the early 2000′s. These albums were not very popular outside of the dance genre but he still continued to release his music packaged in the album Pop Life where he finally started to receive recognition. Since then, it’s all been a easy ride for Guetta and his singles have hit sales of over 15 million worldwide. Not bad for a average DJ in Paris, huh? Without Guetta the EDM genre would not be anywhere near what it is today. So what if he just plays an iPod at his shows; he’s done his work. Below are some of the old school tracks that brought him into fame. I think you’ll find them very recognizable.

After hitting TomorrowWorld last weekend I think I managed to gather a good repertoire of songs for the upcoming weekend. Unfortunately I will not be celebrating the weekend in any way so yall gotta do it for me. The tracks below should definitely help for they are choice. Most of them are huge EDM tracks that are still banging in my head from the weekend but JT still reigns superior and you gotta listen to “Murder” with him and Jay Z; easily one of the best songs of the year. Have a good wknd and do something for the first time… bitch.
