Probably one of the most discredited DJ’s in the whole world is David Guetta. All of the kids these days attending festivals, yes that’s you, really don’t understand how big of a music icon this man is. Since the 80′s Guetta has been DJing and creating his own music. He became popular by DJing at nightclubs in the 80′s and 90′s and eventually became the manager of Le Palace nightclub in Paris and later founded his own record label named Gum Productions. From there he was set to release his own albums starting with Just A Little More Love & Guetta Blaster in the early 2000′s. These albums were not very popular outside of the dance genre but he still continued to release his music packaged in the album Pop Life where he finally started to receive recognition. Since then, it’s all been a easy ride for Guetta and his singles have hit sales of over 15 million worldwide. Not bad for a average DJ in Paris, huh? Without Guetta the EDM genre would not be anywhere near what it is today. So what if he just plays an iPod at his shows; he’s done his work. Below are some of the old school tracks that brought him into fame. I think you’ll find them very recognizable.
