“Never Catch Me” by Flying Lotus ft. Kendrick Lamar

Flying Lotus has proven himself to be one of the most masterful electronic music producers out there, combining a plethora of styles to craft a distinct artistic persona that he expertly communicates through his work. His highly anticipated album “You’re Dead!” will be releasing on October 6th via Warp Records and it is chock full of premiere collaborations and features, including the first single “Never Catch Me,” featuring the always prolific Kendrick Lamar. This record is a collision of two talents operating at the top of their game; if you are a fan of either, you will love it and if you are a fan of both you should probably just bookmark the youtube page until you can grab this and the rest of the album for your personal collection in a few weeks. Enjoy!

Video & Song: The Birth of Captain Murphy & “Cosplay”

If you aren’t familiar with Flying Lotus then get familiar. But no matter what, you can begin to know his rapping alter ego, Captain Murphy. With a sound much like Tyler the Creator and his OF conglomerate, he strikes a very interesting note. Creative as anything or anybody you can possibly imagine, Captain Murphy raps along with FlyLo’s Adult Swim style production work. Dark, trippy, and awesome, Captain Murphy is making his return along with the release of FlyLo’s You’re Dead album that is set to release October 7th via Warp Records. Here is the short video that is absolutely nuts to get you hype on Captain Murphy. Noisey has said its soundscape involves snippets from Flying Lotus’s new work. I love it all in the weirdest of ways.

For those tired of the mega-festival and wanting an intimate setting with close stage views and clear/loud audio, BUKU fills that void. The line up this year is pretty dope, check after the jump for artist previews and the schedule.
