Groove extraordinaire, Thundercat has just today released a mini-LP featuring Kamasi Washington. This is his first solo work since the releases of his 2013 critically acclaimed hit, Apocalypse. Co-produced by Flying Lotus, this LP combines Thundercat’s psychadelic-jazz feel with the ambient hip-hop beats that Flying Lotus is notorious for. 16 minutes feels like an hour long journey through space and time. Think Stevie Wonder meets Pink Floyd’s Dark Side Of The Moon. It’s hard to explain, you’re better off just listening to it below.
