Preview: Paradiso Festival 2013

Northwest electronic music fans: it’s time to return to the Gorge for round two of USC Events’ wildly successful Paradiso Festival.  After last year’s positive reception and incredible result, the brains behind the PNW’s biggest and best massives are back and have increased the event in size, duration, and production value.  The lineup is the largest and most diverse the Pacific Northwest has ever seen, featuring massive acts like Tiesto, Kaskade, Porter Robinson, Eric Prydz, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Gareth Emery, Madeon, Tommy Trash, Zeds Dead, and many more.  Along with this insane lineup comes two twelve-hour days of music, a beautiful venue in the heart of Washington State, some great carnival rides, and a camping experience unrivaled by any other.  USC Events has consistently been pushing the envelope with both their huge lineups and their incredible production value, and Paradiso 2013 is sure to be another step in the exponential growth of the Northwest electronic music scene.

Take a look at the full lineup after the jump, along with a few shots from last years festival and my breakdown of some of the best potential performances you will see at Paradiso 2013.  But for now, here’s the link to the site and the recap video from last year’s wildly successful event.

“Dirty Bass (James Egbert Remix)” by Far East Movement

James Egbert has been releasing consistent remixes, which has received a ton of positive feedback from bloggers and other dubstep fans. He’s considered an “underground” artist, but with remixes like this, his fan base will grow very fast. Although this remix incorporates his classic dubstep sounds, you can really see that he has gone more towards the electro sounds. Dope track.

“September (James Egbert Remix)” by Earth, Wind & Fire

“September” is one of those classic 70s songs that we’d be lost without.  I was super excited when I saw this remix, it’s always awesome when a producer can transform a classic track into a more modern one, but without ruining the original.  James Egbert managed to do that with September, turning it into an electro house track that can be a great addition to a weekend playlist.  Enjoy!
