Saturday night, at North Coast Music Festival in Chicago, KiD CuDi collapsed during his performance of “Up Up and Away.” As seen in fan footage, CuDi steps down into the photo pit for his performance and even interacted with a few fans. After signing a fan’s album, CuDi is seen falling backwards into the hands of the security on stage. Soon after, he is carried out by staff. CuDi addressed the incident through a few tweets. Tweets and fan footage are embedded below.
At 12AM last night, hope was restored to every CuDi fan alive as our favorite star traveling rapper took us all the way to the moon. I woke up in the middle of the night and found out that he had released this and I had to listen. My next 40 mins I might as well of been in a spaceship. The instrumentals CuDi has on this album are amazing. He might’ve taken a hint from the mouse and the robots to help elevate this one into a real extraterrestrial experience. It’s not quite the same CuDi we’ve been searching for through WZRD and Indicud; it’s better. Our hero has matured and found what elements really make his music the best it can be.
With Man On The Moon 3 in the works, Scott Mescudi wanted to give us something to hold us over. An EP turned into an album and now we’re all left in limbo on the moon waiting for this release. Something was said about April 29th… another surprise? Who knows. “Satellite Flight”, “Balmain Jeans”, and “Too Bad I Have To Destroy You Now” I thought were all great songs and incredibly produced. I would give you the times for each song but the piece is a work of art made to be played through. If this album is any indication (and it is) of what we can expect from our hero moving forward, then let’s go ahead and fast forward to 2015 which he said Man On The Moon 3 would be released. SATELLITE FLIGHT brought me back to highschool. This ia timeless gift to his fans that makes us all very very excited. KiD CuDi is back!

Two days ago, KiD CuDi announced that he will be releasing a prelude EP to his new album coming out in 2015. Since Man On The Moon 3 will not be released for a long time he will bless us sometime in the next three months with the EP. It will be a seamless connection to the last track on Indicud, “The Flight of the Moon Man“. He announced all of this during a Texas show of his CuD Life Tour with artists like Big Sean, Tyler The Creator, and Logic. Check a video out after the jump, it’s got more insight into the release.
The leaks hit the net. Big Sean’s Hall Of Fame is now available to download online or pre-prder that shit on iTunes. You can also grab the album with packages of cool stuff specially designed by Big Sean. Anyways, the album is awesome. Big Sean pushes consistent production all through this one that keeps the same style but every song is unique. Unlike his mixtape Detroit, which you should check out if you haven’t, this album is full of inspiration and the pursuit of luxury. Big Sean shows how he has matured from Finally Famous and hasn’t lost any of the flow that keeps him on everyone’s iPod. The Detroit native knows how to kill it. He’s a great role model for anyone trying to achieve their dreams. He came from nothing and now he’s going to be playing in your headphones for years to come. The album features artist like Nas, KiD CuDi, Miguel, James Fauntleroy, 2 Chainz, Meek Mill, Common, and more. Make sure you check out the opener to the album, “Nothing Is Stopping You”. Want to feel like you can do anything? Listen to that. G.O.O.D. Music
Not as crazy a weekend as usual but I got some good tunes for you none-the-less. Be sure to listen to the “One More Time” remix from the Re-Discovery album and “Wanderer”. We got Governor’s Ball this weekend so that means big news coming from Kanye on Sunday. Be ready for some new material and probably some awesome news. Live this weekend to the fullest and Pump The Beat.
To tide you over until May 21st along with “Get Lucky”.

Tomorrow marks the first day of Buku Music and Art Project in New Orleans, LA. Premiered in 2012 by Winter Circle Productions, the Buku Music + Art Project has established itself as the premier progressive music and arts festival in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast region. For those tired of the mega-festival and wanting an intimate setting with close stage views and clear/loud audio, BUKU fills that void. The line up this year is pretty dope, check after the jump for artist previews and the schedule.
