“Toothpaste Man (Bootleg)” by DiBella

Well, I kind of spoke too soon when I mentioned my night was going perfectly. Unfortunately, the AC unit in my room broke. So, I’m now in an incredibly warm room. Oh, well. DiBella’s newest mashup is able to turn it around! Consisting of tracks by Krewella, Showtek, FTampa, and more, this track has a ton of energy. Luckily for me, I’m a huge fan of Showtek’s “Get Loose” and this track definitely is able to use the track in the best ways. Keep a lookout for more DiBella. Also, as a side note, I’m thinking the title is in homage to the newly-famous “Toothpaste Man” from UMF 2013. Just a thought.

Event: Bounce Music Festival @ Bloomington, IN (April 17)

For the PTB fans in Bloomington, IN, tomorrow is a big day. Not only is it Little 5, but we’ve got Bounce Music Festival coming to Bloomington with Alesso headlining supported by Showtek, Modern Machines, Caroline D’Amore, and Liquid Todd. In the last 2 years, I’ve seen Alesso approximately five times, one being his 21st birthday. With every performance, no matter the size of the crowd, Alesso was able to kill it with ease. Of course, we’re going to hear classic songs by his buds from SHM and also a ton of his new material. Likewise, I was able to see hardstyle legends, Showtek, this summer, and they blew me away with their updated style. A lot of die-hard fans have said that they’ve sold out to electro house, but I think they’re still “Showtek.” The main difference is that they’ve simply updated their style. They also just came out with “Get Loose” with Noise Controllers, so be prepared to get hit in the face with that. The final act I’m familiar with is Modern Machines. These guys, hailing from NYC, opened for Dada Life this fall and absolutely killed their set. Their energy and live presence is pretty infectious stuff. “Get Loose (Original Mix)” by Showtek & Noise Controllers

If you know anything about the history of Hard style, you will know that Showtek and Noise Controllers used to run the game along with HeadHunterz and a few other groups. This is a new take on that old style, a more progressive type of song that still drops into the same hard style beat that we are used to hearing from these two. With a dubish sound to the second drop, it sounds like a galactic sound that has to come from another planet, which is typical of Showtek and Noise Controllers. The song slows down towards the second half and you can really get down to it. Check this song out, you will not be disappointed…. its pretty dope.

Spinnin Records Interviews Bassjackers and Showtek
