I’ll start this off by saying, Fuck You Afrojack, for giving her any credibility and entry into the EDM/DJing scene. I still love you and you are a great producer though.
I think the best way to put it is one of the comments I read on the YouTube video of her debuting her new song “Last Night” featuring Afrojack.
“Kill it before it lays eggs”
Who the f**k does she think she is coming into the EDM scene just because she is friends with Nick and has a lot of money? Out of all the different media she has ever produced, the thing that has gotten the most attention and has been the most successful is “1 Night In Paris”, the porn video she made with Rick Salomon back in 2001. That says a lot about her career and life in general.
The fact is, there are so many talented DJs and producers out there that haven’t been discovered because they haven’t had the chance to show anyone what they can do. What’s even worse is that some people are actually supporting Paris’ DJing career. WHAT ARE YOU DOING? Do you want to make all the recent statements true and have the whole world blame us, the USA, for the death of EDM? People like Paris Hilton getting involved in EDM music is probably the quickest way to achieve that, and I’m not the only one who thinks that.

Deadmau5 and Porter are some of the biggest EDM icons and are both well known for defending the EDM culture and being outspoken. Deadmau5′s recent article on “We all push play” shows that he actually cares about the EDM world. I don’t know what Afrojack was thinking when he decided to do a song with her, she probably had sex with him to convince him (and by probably I mean there is 100% no doubt that she did). I’ll let the blame slide past Afrojack because I am sure he did not intend for such a dire outcome and was only doing it hoping for the best (don’t f**k up again Nick because I can’t say that twice).
In short, music is music and people like different genres and that’s completely fine with me. What’s not okay is when someone comes in and starts destroying a type of music just because they want to get in the scene. There is no denying that Paris is just a flat out bad DJ; she lacks skill, showmanship, and style. Do yourself and the rest of the EDM community a favor, do not give her any type of positive feedback, we can work to kick her out of this type of music and send her back to where she came from, on her knees in front of Afrojack.
